dr. Christian Molidor
Dr. Molidor has twenty-five years’ experience in social work education with thirteen years serving in administrative roles. Professor Molidor served as Director of the CSULB School of Social Work from 2011-2014. Prior to this, he held the positions of Dean of the School of Social Work at Louisiana State University (LSU), Interim Dean at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, Associate Dean at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, and MSW Director at the University of Denver. Dr. Molidor has participated in the New York Academy's Leadership in Aging with a cohort of twelve administrators chosen nationally and completed the year-long training from the Leadership Louisiana program hosted by the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL). Between 2011 and 2015 Dr. Molidor served as Principal Investigator on multiple educational grants.
Dr. Molidor has served on multiple community boards, editorial boards, and University leadership committees. Dr. Molidor has numerous articles and book chapters published over the years. His research has historically focused on children and youth at risk. His research since 1993 has examined contextual issues surrounding adolescent dating violence, gang structure, female gang members, juvenile violence, substance abuse, and family structure. He has also been invited to review books, chapters, and manuscripts for many years and has presented his research nationally and internationally. Additionally, his work has examined the utilization of technology in the educational systems as a form of enhancement and support. This work came out of his creation of the first distance education course offered from the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work in 2002. His earlier work on dating violence became a major contribution to a Teenage Dating Violence Video accompanied by "New York's Fight Against Teen Date Violence" curriculum, which was used in over 200 middle and high schools in New York as well as numerous community groups.
