The current job market is more competitive than it has ever been, and Stop Abuse for Everyone offers a genuine internship experience that will not only prepare you for today’s job market, but will also help transform you into an asset for any company YOU choose to work for. Classes pertaining to your major are no substitute for real world job experience and this internship does not consist of typical thankless and menial work, but provides a true hands-on experience through direction and personal management. Completing this internship experience will help put you at the top of the list among job candidates.<\/p>\n

Desired SKILLS:<\/h3>\n

 \u2022 Knowledge of Microsoft, Mac, and Linux operating systems
 \u2022 Basic understanding of email
 \u2022 Completed at least two years at a college or university with a major in Information Technology or a related major
 \u2022 Strong analytical, problem solving, and research skills
 \u2022 Strong writing skills<\/p>\n

Duties Include:<\/h3>\n

 \u2022 Maintenince of all company computers
 \u2022 Resolving all hardware\/software issues including malware removal
 \u2022 Presenting new technological information to the office staff
 \u2022 Providing technical support to company employees
 \u2022 Constant communication with company hierarchy
 \u2022 Collaborating with other interns and group projects
 \u2022 Researching new technology useful to the organization
 \u2022 Writing reports on IT maintenance and presenting them to the management team
 \u2022 Compiling a portfolio of completed assignments at the end of the internship<\/p>\n

By the end of this training the trainee will have learned to:<\/h3>\n

 \u2022 Maintain and update Microsoft, Mac, and Linux systems
 \u2022 Maintain network uptime and security
 \u2022 Provide technological support
 \u2022 Participate as part of a team, on shared assignments, and projects
 \u2022 Deliver presentations to the organization on technological subjects
 \u2022 Work with a mentor and establish a relationship where regular appraisal\/evaluation offers opportunities to give and receive feedback
 \u2022 Use project management techniques
 \u2022 Utilize leadership and teamwork skills
 \u2022 Prepare\/deliver personal presentations
 \u2022 Improve communication skills<\/p>\n

Length Requirement:<\/h3>\n

We have Spring, Fall, and Summer internship programs available.  Upon successfully completing the program, interns will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Letter of Recommendation.  For more information on program length and hour requirements, email director@stopabuseforeveryone.org<\/span><\/p>\n

Specifications:<\/h3>\n

This position is open to students enrolled at any college or university or a graduate looking for real world experience. The students’ interests must lie in I.T., computer networking, or related fields.<\/p>\n

College Credit:<\/h3>\n

While this is an UNPAID internship, student interns will have an opportunity to receive college credit. Contact your undergraduate advising officer for more information on academic credit.<\/p>\n
